Aim: The Man Who Married Himself (exposing ideas)
Monday, April 25 2015

The essay ‘’The Man Who Married Himself’’ is about a man named Oliver that has a mid-life crisis and decides to get married to himself. Maybe he did it because of the benefits of being married to someone like help with the taxes. Maybe he thought it was the best decision he had ever made and he really enjoyed it, but maybe if it was not a well taken decision who knows.

What do you think Oliver discovers with his decision? Well I think that he discovered that everything was perfect except for the part that he was alone. Maybe he did wanted to pass on his genes but to me he was happy but feared loneliness. Was it a well taken decision? Well I don’t think it is a good decision but it is not that bad either, it was all well planned except liked I said before he was lonely and started to say that he wanted a child. ‘’I suppose it was a hormonal thing, a stage of life or something, that made me suddenly crave a child.’’ (3).

So in conclusion, I think that he made a good decision made a little mistake but it was really good. Although it was something that was unexpected and he had no one that supported what he was doing he din't give up in what he wanted marrying himself. So who knows maybe one day I too will marry myself.
